Multidisciplinary activities

Attorneys at law / lawyers and patent attorneys are prohibited from representing conflicting interests due to professional regulations (§ 43 a para. 4 BRAO and § 39 a para. 4 PAO). Before accepting a mandate, we therefore always check whether there is a conflict of interest.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

In the event of disputes between lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution upon request at the regional bar association responsible for lawyers (pursuant to § 73 para. 2 no. 3 in conjunction with § 73 para. 5 BRAO) or at the arbitration board of the legal profession (§ 191 f. BRAO) at the Federal Bar Association, which can be found on the Internet via the homepage of the Federal Bar Association (In the event of disputes between attorneys at law / lawyers and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution upon request at the regional bar association responsible for lawyers (pursuant to § 73 para. 2 no. 3 in conjunction with § 73 para. 5 BRAO) or at the arbitration board of the legal profession (§ 191 f. BRAO) at the Federal Bar Association, which can be found on the Internet via the website of the Federal Bar Association (www.brak.de), e-mail: schlichtungsstelle@s-d-r.org. For disputes between patent attorneys and their clients, there is the possibility of out-of-court dispute resolution by the Chamber of Patent Attorneys (pursuant to Section § 69 (2)para. 2 Nno. 3 in conjunction with Section § 69 (5)para. 5 PAO), which can be found on the Internet via the website of the Chamber of Patent Attorneys www.patentanwalt.de.
