ATTORNEY AT LAW

Norbert Gottschalk advises German and international companies on trademark and competition law. He represents his clients in and out of court in disputes in these areas. His practice focuses on the management and strategic development of national and global trademark portfolios, the legal protection and defence of trademarks in Germany and abroad, as well as advising on licensing and distribution agreements. In addition, Norbert Gottschalk represents the interests of his clients in application, opposition and cancellation proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office as well as in appeal proceedings before the Federal Patent Court and the General Court of the European Union.

A further focus of Norbert Gottschalk’s work is industrial plant construction law and product liability, where he can draw on his many years of experience as managing director of several international corporations in negotiating and supporting major projects in the chemical, oil and coal industries in Germany and abroad. Norbert Gottschalk has extensive litigation experience, particularly in the area of product liability, and advises on product safety law issues in the area of product development.

  • Studied law and economics at Leibnitz University Hanover, the University of Bayreuth, Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and the University of St. Gallen (HSG), 2000-2007
  • Legal clerkship in the Higher Regional Court district of Düsseldorf, 2007-2011
  • Admitted to the bar, 2012
  • Worked as an attorney at law at Schneiders & Behrendt and in various commercial law firms and companies as well as managing director and managing partner of international groups specialising in the construction of industrial plants, 2012-2020
  • Working exclusively for Schneiders & Behrendt since 2020
