Daniel Treue has been working as an attorney at law in our law firm since 2013 and has been a partner since 2022. He specialises in national and international trademark law as well as competition law and is also active in the field of sports law. In these areas of law, he advises international corporations and medium-sized companies from the industrial, food and beverage sectors as well as start-ups and athletes. He represents our clients in legal disputes in connection with trademark infringements as well as in application, opposition and cancellation proceedings before German courts, the GPTO and the EUIPO. He also has particular expertise in international portfolio management. Daniel Treue provides our clients with competent support, particularly when it comes to the registration of intellectual property rights in Germany and abroad as well as out-of-court settlement efforts – for example in connection with domain disputes and trademark infringements on online marketplaces.
Daniel Treue is an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and has been a member of various committees since 2017, currently the Trademark Office Practices Committee.
He took up a lectureship at TU Dortmund University in the winter semester of 2023. There, he holds the lecture “Introduction to Patent, Design and Trademark Law” at the Chair of Mechanical Engineering.
